Hi all. I find this all and maybe it's normal or maybe it's the way the cookies work or something but I notice when you click the back button or post a topic/reply to a board sometimes jaws will go back to where it left off. For example if I was viewing a topic and didn't have anything to add I would click back to go back to the previous page. Jaws normally puts the cursor where it left off or sometimes it will be at the top of the page. Why does sometimes it pups the cursor where it left off? and why does it start up at the top sometimes. Just curious.

good question, beats me.

Troy, I don't have an answer either.

I don't know, but, one thing I can say with high certainty is that the 'loosing place' bug happens far more frequently, in this installation of JFW 7, when I use Firefox than when I use IE.

I can agree with that, Starbux20xx. When I have JAWS 7.0, and use Internet Explorer, JAWS will usually read where it left off if I back up to my previous page, but in Firefox, it usually will not and will go more to where the top of the page is. (However I had to change browsers on my computer because IE was acting weird for me, but I do miss that keeping it's place thing about JAWS as well as when I could find visited links, wich Firefox either doesn't have or maybe it's JAWS; I don't know on that one.)
But anyway, the way I deal with the not keeping it's place problem is that I copy and paste a string of text, doing a search on that, and the links list and other navigation shortcut keys really come in handy for this problem as well. *smile*
*laughs* I mean I, have, JAWS 7.0. Just caught that one from my last post. *smile*
hate to say it, but i have no clue myself. i use ie though
